91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Polyβs Board of Trustees is comprised of accomplished academics and experts committed to developing the worldβs best-known STEM university, becoming the academic leader of 91ΒιΆΉΣ³»βs technology-based economy and serving students through excellence in education, discovery, and application of engineering and applied sciences. The Board of Trustees was established in 2012 to govern and set policy for the university. Six members are appointed by the 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» governor, and five members are appointed by the State University System of 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Board of Governors β all of whom must be confirmed by the 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Senate. Two members serve by virtue of their offices: the chair of the faculty senate, or equivalent, and the president of the 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Polytechnic University Student Government Association.
