Italian Consul General Gloria Marina Bellelli toured 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Polytechnic University on Wednesday, soaking in the architecture of the Innnovation, Science and Technology Building and learning more about the universityβs approach to teaching science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Bellelli and her office represent more than 35,000 Italian citizens living in the Southeastern U.S. and Caribbean nations. On Wednesday, Bellelli described 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Poly as βuniqueβ and praised the collaborative environment of the university.
βThe small class sizes make it feel like a private lesson,β Bellelli said.
Scott Rhodes, 91ΒιΆΉΣ³» Polyβs vice provost of enrollment, said the tour was an important step in furthering the relationship between the university and Italy.
βItaly offers a rich cultural learning experience. Weβre looking forward to exploring this more,β he said.
