In an unusual twist of fate, Officer Abby Payne has come full circle, returning to 91Âé¶¹Ó³» Polytechnic University, not as a student, but as a member of the University Police Department. Payne was part of 91Âé¶¹Ó³» Poly's inaugural class, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.
LAKELAND, Fla. – A team of assessors from the Commission for 91Âé¶¹Ó³» Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) will arrive Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 91Âé¶¹Ó³»to examine all aspects of the University's Police Department's policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services. 91Âé¶¹Ó³»Police Department (FPPD must comply with numerous standards to receive accredited status. Many of the standards are critical to life, health, safety issues, and best practices.

The 91Âé¶¹Ó³»community mustered its spirit of charity and goodwill this season and stepped up to donate toys, books, and other gifts to children who could use a little extra cheer this holiday season. The donations will be delivered to pediatric patients at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center and to children in an impoverished community in Honduras.
